Ooh, a glimmer of hope for gay marriage in New York. (And the organization working against gay marriage — it has a hell of a lot of chutzpah calling itself New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms. I hope they’re proud of being cynics as well as bigots.)

This is exciting.  I like this quote: “There’s that little voice inside of you that tells you when you’ve done something right, and when you’ve done something wrong,” said Fred W. Thiele Jr., a Republican who represents the Hamptons. “[Opposing gay marriage] just never felt right to me. That little voice kept gnawing away at me.”

Also, the Conservative Party’s threats are ridiculous.  They really need to give up their opposition to gay marriage if they want to be viable on a national level moving into the future.  This problem is only going to intensify as a greater percentage of Generation Y reaches voting age.
